Short answer

In Clinizy Care, open Prescriptions and find the finalized prescription under Recent Prescriptions. Press Print to print it, or WhatsApp to send it to the patient. The menu on the row also has Preview, Save PDF and Email. Drafts cannot be printed or sent.

Before you start

  • Finalize the prescription first. Drafts and cancelled prescriptions cannot be printed or sent.
  • For WhatsApp, the patient needs a phone number on file. For email, they need an email address.

Steps

  1. Open Prescriptions and search by name, UHID, phone or Rx number.

  2. Find the prescription under Recent Prescriptions and check that it is finalized, not a draft.

Tip:You can also print or send from inside the prescription once it is issued.

  3. Press Print. Your browser’s print window opens with the prescription.

Careful:If printing is blocked, the document opens in a new tab instead. Print it from there.

  4. Press WhatsApp to send the prescription to the patient on WhatsApp.

  5. Open the menu on the row for Preview, Save PDF or Email.

Tip:The row also shows a delivery tag, such as sent, failed or not sent.

If something goes wrong

Why can’t I print or send a draft?

Only finalized prescriptions can be printed or sent. Finalize the draft first, then try again.

Why does it say the document is still preparing?

The PDF is made after you finalize, so the first print can take a few seconds. Clinizy Care tries again by itself. If it still fails, wait a moment and press the button again.

Why did the WhatsApp send fail?

The patient may have opted out of WhatsApp messages, or there may be no phone number on file. The prescription itself is saved, and you can press WhatsApp again later.
